YIKES!!!!!

Well, yesterday I went to the ENT. I have been having tremendous amounts of problems with my tonsils. So, after much urging ( Or Forcing, but urging sounds much nicer) from my husband, I decided to go to the ENT. He came in and immediately said, "Oh this is for you this time"? Yes , yes, I cannot let Emily have all the fun. I need attention too. Well, that is not exactly what I said, but you get the idea. He felt my glands and immediately told me that I have mono. WHAT?!?! He gave me alot of reasons that led me to trust what he was saying. They were all in medical terms, so I could not even begin to list them here. He furthur told me that my tonsils, definitely need to come out. In fact, he called my tonsils Motel Sixes, in the fact they were housing bacteria. (Not sure if sixes is a word=)) That was different. He said they were definitely larger than most and even showed me a picture of what mine look like compared to normal tonsils. Definitely larger. Well at least mono would explain why I am constantly tired and have no energy. I have been thinking I was just the laziest person on the planet. Well, my surgery is scheduled for May 27. I get about 4 days of summer vacation and then bam!!!! Out come those tonsils. He told my girls they were going to have to wait on me hand and foot. They just smiled and laughed like they always do when someone talks to them. Then in a very serious, firm voice he said he was serious and that mommy was going to be very ill!! Hence the title of this post. YIKES!!! VERY ILL!! That's a little too scary for me. Thanks doc for making me feel better about this. Oh well, it will hopefully be worth it all. Well sorry if this bored you!! Bye.....

  1. Do you want the girls to spend the day with us on one of your days of recuperation? That way your mom or Chris can focus on you. I would be happy to help you in anyway. I will definitely cook for you, well your husband and girls. You will be eating ice cream.
Have you been spreading mono throughout the first grade? Maybe I should have been listening to Emogene's complaints instead of just telling her she was fine. She could have mono! Don't worry, I won't tell the other parents about the plague you have been coughing on our children. I am taking Emogene to the doctor ASAP and telling the doctor about Emogene's germy teacher. Ha ha! I am soooo kidding. Your students are fine, and we will be praying for you. Let me know when I can pick up the girls for a play day. I have been so sad and worried about your tiredness and sicklyness (I made up that word). I'm glad you know what it is now and are going to get better soon. Cheer up! It will be over soon. You can do a tonsilectomy countdown. It is a good weightloss plan too. Man I should have waited to have mine out until now. I didn't really need to lose weight even though I thought I did when I was 17. Think of the positives. Don't worry, God doesn't want you to and neither do I.

  2. I know this is NOT the news you wanted to get, but look at the bright side... you get a "vacation"... you could pretend you are at the spa! LOL I will be out of town during your surgery, but I will pray for you and would like to cook the weekend after. I will be back on the 29th.. so put me down for cooking the 30th!

    love ya,
